Syria

Today I had the honor of offering the invocation at the Morris County Latino Chamber of Commerce. My sweet friend, Christina Martinez, President of the Chamber, wanted to change things up a bit from the traditional prayers, and snuck me in the door.  The event was just lovely, and I was thrilled to serve.

Sitting across from me was a beautiful Latina who has served in the military for the last twenty-three years. A recent mother of sixteen-month-old twins, she is a high-ranking medic, the highest rank for an enlisted member.

While sitting there watching her and how proudly she wore this uniform, I stopped to wonder what she and the other military color guard members there to present “the colors” (meaning the flag) would think about the time that we set aside last night to Sit for Syria as a Peace Practice.  Does being in the military mean that you want war? Would I have been offending her to tell her that we are treating to keep peace so no one else would have to be harmed?

Oh the thoughts that randomly come!

The truth is I don’t want to go to war. I don’t want to send one more daughter/son, young or old, off to war.  We know too much; we are no longer ignorant or asleep at the wheel. The world knows that we cannot “fight” war.  We cannot bomb to save. We cannot resist evil and expect good. The world is more awake than ever, and we are more cohesive now than at any time in history due to technology and the ability to affect change live-time with our smartphones.

I did thank the Major Sergeant for her service, and she thanked me for my invocation.  This felt like a moment of diversity in action: one who prepares for war embracing one who prays to prevent war.

I am always grateful to have an opportunity to see through someone else’s eyes. Today was no exception.  For the moment, I will keep doing what I do. I know that she remains safe with her children and quietly appreciate the service that our military continues to provide until the time comes when they are all trained to be peacekeepers. Now that’s a liberating thought!

There's only ONE

I HEAL ALL EVIDENCE OF SEPARATION

There is One life, that life is Spirit’s life, that life is Perfect, and it is my life now.

As I allow myself to be fully absorbed into this One, all thoughts, habits and behaviors that once were anchored from a belief in separation are healed.

I guide my subconscious to heal all evidence of separation; this happens gently and thoroughly. As the false evidence is healed, my Truth is revealed.

As this healing takes place, I enjoy the fruit of this changed mind, and enjoy how this change has enriched my relationships, how I now walk fearlessly in the world, how I remember every day that no one is against me, no one.

This thought alone frees mountains of my energy to be used creatively.

Yes, today I begin to walk in the ONENESS, being fully conscious of this truth.

My gratitude runs over and I am blessed.
And So It Is!
It felt like time to pray!

Letting Life Work

My ex-husband and I were working in the Center’s office. He picked up the phone, and on the other end was our eldest son. He called to chat with us about what was currently happening; he was a bit flustered and irritated about his work. He was upset and disappointed that he had not received a raise that he felt he was due.

During this conversation, we made room for him to express his frustration for a few moments prior to asking him to slow down and get refocused. We requested that he get perfectly clear about the finished result that he desired. We asked all the clarifying questions that one would when conducting a practitioner interview and got the details needed to support his knowing.

During the phone call, which he was making from his job, his boss came to him, so of course, we had to hang up. He called us back two minutes later to let us know that his boss had just offered him a multi-dollar raise and a cash bonus which he was not expecting at all. Clearly, we were in awe of this immediate demonstration and couldn’t wait to emphasize how Life shows up when you switch your attention and get clear.

Being a teacher of metaphysics and the Science of Mind, there is nothing more that I could wish for more than having my sons experience the power of intention in all of its beauty and creative nature. Only through direct contact with this awesome power can one understand what’s possible and be in the awe of it.

If only, if only I had had someone telling me years ago to switch my attention from what’s wrong to what’s possible. If only I had had the disciplined mind to do this earlier. I was visioning the other day with a prayer partner, and the first question we asked was: What is God’s highest idea for my ministry? (This is a question that I live in all the time; it helps me stay alive.) The visual that came immediately was the image of a bullfighter. All of a sudden, I could see a stadium of onlookers as this huge and mighty bull charged at the bullfighter and his muleta (the red cape)-- and the strong, handsomely dressed, CONFIDENT bullfighter simply stepped to the side and allowed the bull to pass.

What this said to me was this: life will continue to be life – all of its inherent beauty, problems, issues and such, but my option is to masterfully step out of the way and allow it to pass me. In other words, I get to choose not to attach myself to anything that I don’t want to, to let it pass me by, to not have life’s interesting stuff run me over.

Oh, if I could have known this earlier! So the beauty of my son getting this dramatic and meaningful live-time life lesson is a gift that can’t be taught in the classroom. May you remember that you are always in choice; you always have options; and you get to live in the infinite world of possibilities.  It's called letting life work!

Love to all. It's good to be back!

Don't you just want to say "What the *&^%?" sometimes; it is not just because I was born and raised in New Jersey, it is not just because I have a feisty, sassy attitude sometimes, it is more then that. As I have worked my entire life to be awake, aware, compassionate and loving, there are just times that I look at the humans who are co-existing around me and I have to scratch my head and say REALLY?
Oh by the way, Happy Halloween, Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Solstice, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Yep - it has been that long. Okay, let me get back to my rant. . .
I'm sorry, maybe it is presumptuous of me, but when I have just spent money in a store or restaurant and the individual who has taken my money doesn't look me in the eye or say thank you - I want to shout out, "REALLY."
Of course, I could share an extremely logical and shared sense of outrage about something like the Sandy Hook Shooting in Connecticut but as grievous as that incident clearly was, it is the exception to our living time on earth. The things that I am talking about here are the things that happen day in and day out. The things that desenitize us to being more and being PRESENT.
Being ignored, unappreciated and sometimes spoken to rudely seems to be a day to day, common place experience. And the sad thing is, often the store or restaurant owner doesn't even see it. And I want to know why not? Why are you not watching over your business and teaching your employees. In addition I can't help believing that social graces would greatly help the bottom dollar.
I don't know, call me old-fashioned, but I LIKE manners and politeness and common courtesies and I am not apologizing for it. Oh, that's another thing that I like - apologies. Not because something someone did makes them the scum of the earth but because it acknowledges that they are aware of their impact upon you - even if it was unavoidable.
Hell, I'm from the northeast, rude is practically a sport here, but that still doesn't make it okay. Have you ever been in Canada or just around a group of Canadians - talk about polite. They are the politest people I have ever been in the company of although it is so much though, it feels almost fake - not really - well, maybe. Ha, don't want to offend but that was my experience.
Okay, I'm almost over it but you know me I have to end on a high note. Let's change this, let's look each other in the eye, let's get back to basic courtesies and holding doors and writing notes ON PAPER. Let's acknowledge each other for the large and the small things, let's be the change and for Pete's sake, let's teach our children well.

Anger - not good, not bad, just is!

I have suffered my entire life around the stigma of anger. Somehow I got to my adulthood without ever understanding that anger itself is not bad. Misplaced anger may cause pain and discomfort and mess up relationships, prolonged anger is defintely the cause to physical ill health, violent anger is definitely not good.

BUT anger in and of itself is just anger. A reaction - not good, not bad - it just is. And often anger is the momentary reaction that you need in order to decide to move into action, to do something differently, to say enough is enough and to raise your standard to how you want your life to be.

WOW, how good it is to let go of my judgment of something I was feeling, thinking and experiencing on a pretty regular basis but because I held it as wrong - that made me wrong. God knows the last thing I need is another reason to feel wrong. Looking back though, I now understand how much discomfort I experienced in my life, had to do with the criticism I held about feeling angry and now I see that the criticism and making myself wrong was the pain and the anger itself.

YIKES, while finding freedom for myself, I must also take an authentic look at what misleading messages I have given to my sons. I'm certain there will be something for me to clean up with them. And again I remember: before enlightment, chop wood, carry water; after enlightment, chop wood, carry water. So now I get to take my freedom and powerfully share it with my sons.

PHEW - what a gosh darn relief to get this one. This one was so deeply, deeply embedded that I could not see my way through until now. Now, I do not want to walk around being angry but at heast if and when it happens, I can anticipate using it much more creatively as a catalyst for change. Oh, self-awareness is such an important and key element for our state of happiness. Even as I write this outloud to you, I sense a deep shift in the paradigm of me, Michelle. Right here I get to embrace greater freedom.

I declare for myself: My moments of anger are an opportunity for change and I handle them with absolute grace!

A Jolt of Reality or a Letter of Love - You choose!

Deep calls to deep!

I have been away from blogging for such a long time, for so many different reasons and none of them matter. During my absence Blogger has made some very definite improvements upon its service and I was thrilled to see that they now make it very easy for the authors to track the amount of individuals who are reading the blog. As I became aware of the number of readers, I was jolted once again into a deeper sense of responsibility for my written as well as my spoken word.

You know my name, and you probably know what I do for a living. Some of you know me personally, but in Truth, I am the Authority of all Good or I am the void of any good. Why because it all has to do with point of view and perspective. How you see me and how you see yourself determines your reality. This is why coaches practice the coaching skill of re-framing of reality with their clients all the time. Life is not determined by the details but by how we name the details, approve of them, disapprove of them. Often when one is challenged with a loved one or with a situation, I will say to them: Stop objecting to them or to it because as we object to someone or something we create the rub that causes the pain.
So now that I know how many of you are reading my posts, I offer you this following letter - not from me, Michelle or my personality but from the non-local of me, the me that is Infinite and Eternal. May this letter touch your heart and your soul as Love calls to Love and Deep calls to Deep.

Dear Being of Love,
I see you. I see the all of you; your total beauty, your amazing strength, the compassionate love that you are and the healing Light that you bring to this world. Yes, I see the Truth of you even when you don't see it yourself. I see your fullness, when you are feeling limited. I recognize your total health even while you are in pain and discomfort. I see you as fully prospered and expressed even as you struggle to pay your bills. I see you surrounded in love, love of self, love in relationships and the love of Spirit. This is your Truth. This is who you are.

You were born perfect and perfect you will always be. You were born deserving a full-measure of life's good. Please, please believe this; you are perfect as you are. You are not now or never will be limited to anything other than you willingness to accept your full measure of good. Close your eyes every day, go into the depth of your being, move past resistance, move past stories, move past fear and lack until you touch that place in you that has never been hurt, harmed or injured in any way. That core of your being which is your source of all good.

You are enough, worthy of all your heart's desires no matter what you have been told. Very simply, remember to declare: I accept my good and my greater good. I accept the full measure of my Divine Birthright, fully expressed in ways known and not known and I allow Love to be the guiding principle throughout my life. I am Love full expressed. This is my Truth, now.
So beautiful being, if this is acceptable to you, please leave a comment so I know you are listening and together we will partner for a more full YOU.

All my love,
Michelle
